Meet the Commercial Team

I joined the commercial team in January 2016, and come with a wealth of experience in the food industry. My role in the business is to work collaboratively with our business partners to enhance their products throughout the UK and Europe.

The Leprino family work closely in every aspect of the business from the commitment and partnership with our farmers to delivery of our goods to the customers. Product quality is of the upmost importance and we strive to deliver the very best mozzarella in the market.

I joined the commercial team in 2012, bringing over a decade's worth of experience developing business in the food industry. I look after a number of our important customers across the UK and Europe, and relish the challenge of continuing to build and strengthen these key relationships.

What makes us different, is that we treat our customers as business partners, developing initiatives to help them grow. Through mutual trust and respect, we develop a deep understanding of their businesses, making us even better placed to meet all their needs.

The whole of our business is aligned to this commitment to our customers; all functions including production, technical, and NPD are all fully supportive in putting our customers first.

I joined the commercial team  in January 2020.

Having spent over 15 years in the food industry I have held a number of business development and commercial positions within both dairy and foodservice businesses.

My role is to work alongside some of our key UK and European commercial partners across a number of foodservice channels. While forming strong relationships with our trading partners, adding value through innovation and NPD is a key part of our agenda.

Offering quality mozzarella and customer service in such a competitive market place gives the confidence to our farmers, customers and consumers, which I believe shall play a key role in the ongoing success of our business in the future.

I am fortunate to work alongside such a committed and experienced team.

Prior to joining Leprino in January 2022, I was a Financial Controller for two German entities in the mechanical engineering industry travelling between Germany and UK every month. Whilst my role at Leprino represents quite a change from my past experiences, it was one which ticked so many boxes in terms of the direction I wanted to head. You can really feel the teamwork, togetherness and family-oriented nature of its employees; and that mentality flows through to the high level of service and satisfaction provided to customers.

My skills are in management accounting, financial process management & business partnering; particularly in regards to stripping a business down to look beyond the numbers to see where value can be added, and in this role I can do that from a commercial position which really provides the opportunity to make a difference. My colleagues have been extremely welcoming and supportive ever since I took a step through the door and I look forward to a long career with the business.

I joined the business in August 2018 as Marketing Manager, and came with 20 years previous experience in the food industry. My background includes working within the dairy sector in both supply chain and commercial roles.

I work with a great team of enthusiastic people, and enjoy all aspects of my role. The marketing function supports the NPD & sales teams helping to deliver new product concepts to our customers.

I feel passionate about my role and am motivated to deliver a good job for the company... it’s a great place to work.

I joined the business as the Commercial Graduate in 2020 having just graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University with a degree in Marketing and Digital Media.

I now operate under the title Commercial Executive and am heavily involved in both the day-to-day marketing for the business and supporting the sales team. I have the pleasure of working alongside some extremely enthusiastic and motivating people!

I previously worked as an Operations and Events Manager within the wedding and events industry immediately before joining Leprino in January 2024.

I started my career within the buying office of a major home shopping group having studied Fashion and Textile Science at University, eventually moving on to the New Business Development department. I then moved onto a customer facing retail role within the fashion industry.

Working at Leprino is a breath of fresh air – everybody is so helpful and you truly feel that you are working together as part of one team.

I joined the business in 1994 as an assistant accountant. I've also had roles as a Warehouse and Logistics Manager before becoming Purchase Manager in 1999. In my role I'm responsible for £20m of purchases for everything from packaging to ingredients to supplying our labs.

I've seen a lot of changes in my time here. I remember in 1994 we were excited to report 300 tonnes of cheese produced each week - today the same site produces more than 700 tonnes per week. I've also seen changes in myself, and thanks to the encouragement I get, I was able to achieve full membership of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing.

I joined the business in January 2022 as Supply Chain Manager. I have over 20 years experience in supply chain and production planning within the food industry.

I have worked in demand planning, supply planning, production planning and raw material procurement and then as a Supply Chain Manager in four production facilities. I have also been a super-user in two SAP integrations.

In my current role I am responsible for the co-ordination of goods from the UK to EU borders.  I have close links with sales/commercial, customer care and the manufacturing sites to ensure that customer orders are manufactured and shipped to the end customer on the dates requested.

I also monitor and review performance with our third party hauliers and warehousing facilities.

It's a great company to be part of. There is a great team spirit and everyone is willing to help each other.  Everyone is committed to achieving their goals for the good of the company and its customers.

I joined the business in June 2019 as part of our customer service team.  I really enjoy my the role, which is very varied and busy. Everyone here is welcoming and helpful.

Upon joining the company in June 2021, I can honestly only say that it’s a pleasure to work with a group of such fantastic people. The team have welcomed me into the fold with open arms, as have the customers.

Every day is fast-paced and mutable, providing new challenges and keeping me on my toes, which truly makes it a joy to come to work. I look forward to many more years of working with the team and contributing to the delivery of the exceedingly high level of customer service that our customers are deserving of.
