IN SUMMARY

POST LOCATION: Llangefni, Angelsey, North Wales
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Maintenance Manager
ROLE PURPOSE:

It is an exciting time to be part of the Leprino team. We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Team Leader to join our Maintenance Team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, it is expected that you will take ownership and accountability for the performance of the Maintenance shift regarding agreed-upon KPIs and standards across all aspects of the operation, ensuring maximum efficiency and effectiveness and minimising downtime. 

You will oversee the work of our Engineers and Contract Service Providers whilst delivering plant reliability and services across the site.  Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (6 am to 6 pm on a day shift pattern only).  A degree of flexibility outside of your core hours may be required.

You must be qualified in either a Mechanical or Electrical discipline and have a detailed knowledge of manufacturing equipment and its repair.  You must have previous leadership experience, preferably gained in an automated manufacturing environment.  You must be able to demonstrate a solid understanding of Health and Safety, Quality, Continuous Improvement and have a passion for engaging, developing and supporting a team. 

RESPONSIBILITIES AND MEASURES OF SUCCESS

The main job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Engaging, developing and supporting Engineers and setting clear standards, objectives and expectations
  • Allocating work, managing staffing levels and ensuring that attendance, grievance and disciplinary matters are dealt with in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures 
  • Providing regular coaching, guidance and advice on day to day team issues and problems
  • Conducting well-structured Daily Management Systems (DMS) meetings
  • Monitoring all process control points and ensuring that timely and accurate records are maintained
  • Driving continuous improvement to improve up time, rate and capacity
  • Proactively supporting site safety/environment/quality initiatives 

The successful applicant will ideally have:

  • Previous leadership experience
  • Manufacturing experience, preferably gained within a dairy environment
  • Strong people management and development skills
  • Strong organisation and planning skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and work under pressure
  • Proficient in all Microsoft packages
  • An accredited training qualification e.g. IOSH, LEAN, ILM Level 3
